The ultra-efficient VPP suspension design, complemented by a dual remote lockout and super stiff carbon frame, means you’ve got rocket-like acceleration on demand. The one-piece carbon VPP rear triangle shares a similar twin upright architecture to Santa Cruz's World Cup-winning downhill bikes. Paired with a one-piece carbon front end it delivers lateral stiffness and tracking ability you just don’t see on featherweight bikes of this genre. The Blur Carbon CC X01 TR build finds the sweet spot in high-end performance and adds a little trail swagger with a longer travel fork and Reverb dropper post. SRAM's X01 Eagle drivetrain and Level TLM brakes offer intuitive shifting and braking response so you can focus on the trail ahead, while the lightened Fox 34 110mm fork and Float shock ensure no amount of energy is wasted as you hammer toward your goals. Santa Cruz's Nomad Carbon CC X01 reputation is built on consistently pushing the envelope of how DH a bike can get while still remaining usable on most trails. The fourth generation design sees a dramatic shift to the lower-link mounted shock configuration. This is the first time that learnings from years of V10 development have translated across trail bikes. The shock rate is now almost completely linear—which means feather-light small bump sensitivity right off the bat, a supportive midstroke and overall progression that you'd normally only experience on a DH bike. To keep the gravity vibe going they've ensured the Nomad can run both standard metric coil shocks and lighter air units to suit any preference. Full shock compatibility creates challenges when trying to cram everything into the precious bottom bracket area. But the continued evolution of Santa Cruz carbon tech means they're able to create a svelte, strong, swingarm/front triangle combo that's as much art as it is engineering. Santa Cruz even managed to squeeze in a flip-chip feature on the lower link too. Think of the high setting as "regular", the way the bike's mostly meant to be ridden, and the low setting as being closer to full on DH status. To handle all this new-found capability the geometry has adapted too. It's longer and lower-slung than ever to ensure maximum stability and confidence on absolutely everything. The X01 build steps-up performance with a SRAM Eagle 12-speed drivetrain.

Santa Cruz's Hightower LT Carbon C S is made to go fast, give you a bigger margin of error, and take on the biggest mountains in the world. With a whopping 150mm of Santa Cruz' proven VPP suspension design and a slacked-out 66.4-degree head angle, the Hightower LT is designed for maximum speed in the biggest mountains. It’s truly race-bred, its design the result of the demands of racing at the EWS, Crankworx, and Andes Pacifico. Short chainstays and a spacious cockpit ramp-up the fun when railing technical descents while putting you in a powerful position for blazing uphill battles. The increased travel means the reach is slightly (7mm) shorter than the standard Hightower, the head angle a half-degree slacker, and the seat angle a half-degree slacker, as well. The rear triangle retains the dual upright design, but adds a post-mount rear brake. The Hightower LT Carbon C S comes equipped with a 150mm-travel Fox 36 fork, Fox Float Performance shock and 12-speed SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain that offers solid performance in a wallet friendly package.
